Axel has 40 years of management, strategic positioning and value creation experience as a Director at Mc Kinsey, as an entrepreneur or as senior advisor to Private Equity.

He spent in particular the last 20 years supporting leading private equity firms like KKR, Carlyle, Advent and Montagu Private Equity in their operating practices, leading value creation plans in a number of industries across Europe.

Axel has served as board member or Chairman in several successful PE-owned companies in the Healthcare and Business Services sectors. Axel is the Chairman of Schwind Eye-Tech-Solutions.

Axel holds a Doctorate from Köln University.
